Orlando Dinner Shows: Good Dining and Plenty of Entertainment

There is no end to ways in which you can enjoy yourself in Orlando during the day, due to the presence of the world's greatest theme parks and amusement attractions. But the fun doesn't stop when the sun sets; in the evening you can also treat yourself to a good time by visiting one of the popular dinner shows of this area. Let's take a look at three of the most entertaining dinner shows awaiting you in the Orlando vicinity.

Not all the dinner shows are for the whole family, but there is one that will enthrall both adults and kids alike. I am talking about the Pirates Dinner Adventure Show which is set in the 1700s and has an elaborate stage.

When I say "elaborate" I am not exaggerating. The show takes place on a full-size replica of an 18th Century Spanish ship floating in a 300, 000 gallon lagoon. Guests are seated around the vessel in a theater-in-round arrangement.

The play is staged by the actors but the guests are drawn into it and become the "hostages" of the pirates who provide a sumptuous "final meal" for the guests.

You can find the Pirates dinner show one block from Orlando's well known Internationl Drive. This location is minutes away from the Orange County Convention Center and 15 minutes from the Orlando International Airport.

If you fast-forward from the 1700s to the 1930s, then you will be set to appreciate the humor and food at another popular dinner show in Orlando. Capone's Dinner and Show is set in gangland Chicago of the 1930s and evokes the atmosphere of the illegal speakeasy bars of that era.

The waiters speak in gangster slang and do their best to get you involved in the drama. While the show is going on you are treated to an Italian meal. It is set up as an Italian buffet but there are also some of the usual American items as well. You can eat and drink as much as you like.

Capone's is a good setting for a normal night out, or you can take advantage of the group rate (15 or more people) and hold special events there. Birthdays, anniversaries, engagements and even weddings have been held here.

Capone's is located at Kissimmee-St. Cloud/Osceola County , 4740 West US 192 Kissimmee, FL 34746. Telephone: 407-397-2378 and 800-220-8420.

If you really like Italian food, then you can also try another popular dinner show. Tony 'n Tina's Wedding Show is "set" at a very boisterous Italian wedding. The show is based on a hit off-Broadway production and has been acclaimed as "One of the most successful and imaginative hits in Off-Broadway history." As with the other dinner shows, this one is interactive and dinner guests are drawn into the action. While the show is going on you get a full Italian meal, including a champagne toast to the newly married couple and some wedding cake as well.

You can find this dinner show at the Tony and Tina Theater at Glo Lounge (next door to Wonderworks), 8967 International Drive. Performances are held on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays at 7 pm.

So there you have it. Instead of just munching on a quiet dinner you can combine your evening meal with a lot of laughs and entertainment at one of these Orlando dinner show
